SlimeVR Server Update Introduces “Stay Aligned”

Say Bye Bye Yaw Drift

SlimeVR Server v0.16.0 Is Live with “Stay Aligned”

SlimeVR Server v0.16.0 launched on July 1, 2025, introducing Stay Aligned, a new drift-correction mode developed by @jabberrock.

Stay Aligned continuously recenters your yaw to prevent orientation drift during extended sessions. Settings have been simplified, and the correction rate now adapts automatically to different IMU types. A dedicated setup wizard walks you through calibration, and subsequent fixes ensure consistent behavior by moving the reset step after filtering, preventing wild swings, and enabling individual-pose calibration.

Beyond Stay Aligned, this release adds proper tracker naming for gesture trackers, bumps the flasher library for more reliable firmware updates, and optimizes tracker assignment rendering in the GUI.

Windows users can download it here.
